Food Lovers Fat Loss Program: Day 1

First things first.  I’ve made it to my first day of blogging and food journaling every last thing that’s gone into this mouth of mine, so that in itself was the biggest accomplishment of the day!

The day started off with me waking up at 7:07am (whoops!) and eating right away.  A goal of this program is to make sure you eat right when you wake up, to jumpstart your metabolism.  I legit had the shower warming up while I was spooning down my delish Oikos Raspberry Greek yogurt. Nommm!

I headed out the door w/ my pre-packed lunch 😉 and headed to my first nutrition/physical therapy session, the next step in the bariatric program.  All of it was pretty much info I had already know, but I did learn a few things.

I met a guy who had already gone through this same program w/ Relient Medical Group, but ended up doing so well with the nutritional classes that he decided to not go through with the surgery.  Welp! He was back in the class because he had fallen back into his old ways and was in now to get the vertical sleeve gastrectomy.  Not gonna lie… I’m afraid that same situation will happen to me.  I expressed my feelings in how I’d hate to look back when I’m 30 or so and FINALLY have the aha! moment and realize I should’ve just gotten the surgery back when I was 25.  Once again, this whole process is eye-opening.  And although it’s so damn frustrating as to how long this entire process will end up being (with co-pay after co-pay), I’m convinced it’s for the best.  These doctors want to make sure I’m committed and that I realize all the risks, repercussions, etc.  They need to know that I actually knowww what’s going on and what’s right for me in my life.  I appreciate that support, but not all the co-pays. Hahhaa.. I trust the Lord is guiding me through this process.  I’m where I’m at for a reason, this I know is true.

Ohhh and today I finally found out more information about the Bariatric Boot Camp.  It’s Biggest Loser style working out… well maybe not that intense, but intense enough.  I’m absolutely stizokedddd! I miss boot camp! When I was at Raytheon I did boot camp with my friend Yvonne and we kicked some serious booty.  Sooooo good.  So I called up the dept and ended up getting the VERY last spot out of the 4 boot camps held.  And although it wasn’t my top choice in terms of time slots, beggars can’t be choosers!  To be truthful, this is going to be ideal.  The class starts next Monday and will run on Mondays & Wednesdays from 7 – 8pm for 5 weeks.  And it’s only 50 bucks for the entire 5-week sesh – now that’s LEgit! I’ll be doing bootcamp M & W and Zumba on T & Th! Ummm yes, plzzzz.

So that was my actual excitement for the day.  I’m quite elated, actually. :)  Sooo onto my FLFL program…

So this is most of the material I received: food journal, cook books, food cards, audio CDs to help me thru, a guide for 22 days and beyond and a bonus DVD with a 7 day size down kit (measuring tape included). haha

Day 1 is pretty lenient.  You can eat anything you want, so long as you write everything down in the bad boy food journal and eat every 2 to 3 hours.  In my week 1 vlog I’ll go into further detail of the reasoning for this and other findings I discover along the way. But journaling and eating were the top 2 priorities for the day.

I’m finally listening to Day 1’s CD now… Not gonna lie, this program seems extensive, but like I said… and no bones about it… I’m going by.the.book.

Night all!… onto Day twoooooo

Wow, you were very well behaved with Spring Color – I scored a lot more (no self control!), including Ripe Peach which I love, and Ember Glow, which I haven't tried out. I do love Gold Dust lipgloss for adding a true rich gold to everything. Sun and Moon looks beautiful. I was taken with Rhapsody in Two, but I haven't been in store yet to check it out. Next week, when Liberty comes out :)
